American Legion Post #140 will render military honors at the
conclusion of the service.  Burial will be in Shenango Valley
Cemetery, Greenville, PA.

Albert Longiotti, age 92, of East Ave., Greenville, passed away Monday morning, September 3, 2018 in St. Paul's. 

He was born in Greenville on June 26, 1926 to William and Amelia (Lupidii) Longiotti.  Al  attended Penn High School and served in the U.S. Navy aboard the USS LST #240 during WWII.  He retired in 1988 from Sharon Steel Corp., where he had been employed for thirty-eight years as a Maintenance Foreman. 

Al was an active member of Christian Assembly Church, Greenville and had served as a Trustee and helped with maintenance at the church for many years.  Al was a member of American Legion Post #140 and the National Landing Ships Association.  He had been a past volunteer at the Good Shepherd Center and enjoyed gardening, carpentry, and traveling and being with family and friends across the miles. 

On September 27, 1947 he married the former Philomena Guerrini, she passed away on July 26, 2009. 

Survivors include two daughters; Patricia Chamlee and her husband William of Richmond Heights, OH and Nancy Bailey of Wells, TX, three sisters; Jenny Canter of Galatin, TN, Mary Roberts of Portland, Oregon and Nancy Wagner of Sacramento, CA, a brother; Cordino Longiotti of Ashland, Oregon four grandsons, Jeffrey Chamlee, Jason Chamlee, Jonathon Bailey and Michael Bailey and nine great-grandchildren. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, a sister; Celine Steely and a brother; Warren Longiotti.

Memorial contributions may be made to Christian Assembly Church, 111 Main St., Greenville, PA 16125.

    I enjoyed being with Alb everytime I saw him. He reminded me most of his Dad (my grandfather). Sandy and I are keeping you (Patty and Nancy) in our prayers.
