Araminta N. Butler, age 92, formerly of 9 Penn Ave., Greenville, passed away Sunday morning, March 10, 2019 in St. Paul's Senior Living Community.
She was born in Lock Haven, PA on February 21, 1927 a daughter of Clayton W. and Mary R. (Shoemaker) Embick. She attended Lock Haven High School. On April 20, 1956 Araminta married Lawrence E. Butler, he passed away November 6, 1973.
She was a life-long farmer along with her husband in West Salem Twp. for many years. She was a member of First Baptist Church where she was a deacon and she enjoyed reading.
Araminta is survived by her sister; Shirley Geyer of York, PA. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a daughter, Amy C. Butler Westerly, and 11 brothers and sisters.
Memorial contributions may be made to First Baptist Church, 60 Shenango St., Greenville, PA 16125. Arrangements have been entrusted to Loutzenhiser-Jordan Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 366-368 S. Main St., Greenville.
