Anne J. (Dupal) Murrin, age 100, of N. Second St., Greenville, passed away at her home on Saturday afternoon, July 2, 2016. 

Mrs. Murrin was born in Homestead, PA March 4, 1916 to John and Mary (Zaluzicky) Dupal.  In the early 1920’s the family relocated to Hartstown, PA and Anne graduated in 1934 from North Shenango High School.  She later became a Registered Nurse during WWII, graduating from what was then the Spencer Hospital School of Nursing in Meadville.  Ann would go on to work for many years as an R.N. at Greenville Regional Hospital. 

She was a member of St. Michael Roman Catholic Church, Greenville, and her hobbies included, playing bingo, sewing, and playing cards. 

On September 20, 1943, she married Gerard M. “Jud” Murrin, he passed away on March 31, 1988. 

Survivors include four daughters, Elaine Gaus of Greenville, Gene Marie Murrin of Greenville, Margaret Moder and her husband William of Hermitage, and Anne Portz and her husband Matthew of Pittsburgh, six sons, Nelson Murrin of Mentor, OH, Rev. Father Donald Murrin of Liberty, TX, William Murrin and his wife Carol of Hermitage, Thomas Murrin and his wife Teresa of Greenville, Michael Murrin and his wife Chris of Sharpsville, and Larry Murrin and his wife Joy of Raleigh, NC, fourteen grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. 

Anne was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a grandson, John Murrin, two brothers, William Dupal and Jack Dupal, four sisters, Mary Lucas, Margaret Evans, Betty Dupal, and Rosalie Hermann, two daughter-in-laws, Antonia Murrin and Cori Murrin, and a son-in-law, Daniel Gaus.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Michael School Endowment Fund, 85 N. High St., Greenville, PA 16125.
