Barbara A. Humphrey, age 83, of Fredonia Rd., Hempfield Twp., passed away Thursday morning, August 19, 2021 in her residence.
She was born in Greenville on May 20, 1938 to Johnson and Jennie Bell (Wilson) Bollenbacher. Barbara was a 1956 graduate of Penn High School and received her C.L.P.N. From Willoughby School of Practical Nursing. On June 15, 1957 she married Kenneth W. Humphrey, Sr. She and her husband were the owner/operators of Lakeway Restaurant in Stoneboro, PA for 22 years.
Barbara was of the Protestant Faith and her hobbies included flowers, gardening, bird watching, fishing, traveling and collecting anything related to rabbits.
In addition to her husband of 64 years, she is survived by two sons; Kenneth W. Humphrey, Jr. and his wife Linda of Middlefield, OH and Dennis J. Humphrey and his wife Judy of Greenville, 8 grandchildren; Linda Smith, Jessica Freeman, Sarah Nolder, Alexander Gearhart, Jennifer Fekete, Michael Humphrey, Nick Humphrey and Chrisina Humphrey, 15 great-grandchildren and a daughter-in-law; Sharon Humphrey of Orwell, OH. She was preceded in death by her parents, a son, Douglas C. Humphrey, a sister, Judy Clark and a great-granddaughter, Cinnamon Rose Smith.

Grandma Barb was a very special person. Although I was not in touch with the extended family, I would remember to call them. Grandma, I love you and I am sorry I could not say goodbye.
