My memories go back to Vanilla Ice cream,Hersey chocolate syrup, and Planters peanuts, the Sankey family tradition. As we sat around eating this delicious dessert we laughed enjoying and shared our love for each other and for our relationship with Jesus. Billy made you feel welcomed and valued. I’m glad that the Lord gave us this time together, we will miss his presence here but know that our future in Christ will keep us together forever. Keeping the family in our prayers knowing God has sent the comforter and is surrounding you with His love and presence as you walk through this valley. We love you

Bill, I first met you and Rosalie in 1964. You were so gracious when I brought my wife to meet you. Our heart goes out to Rosalie, at our age losing a lifelong partner weighs heavy on our hearts, so happy that you are surrounded by family and your belief in the Lord. He’s your angel now watching over all of you.

I will miss Papa. I still cannot believe that he was so eager to go to Heaven and leave us behind. I had wonderful days and great memories. During COVID, both Papa and Nana sheltered me and I spent 2-3 months with them at their home. Riding a bike, eating ice cream, watching Andy Griffith Show. What a great time.

May Papa’s soul rest in Peace.

    I will miss you!

Rosalie and Family: Please accept my sincere sympathy. I enjoyed getting to know you on First Avenue; you were wonderful neighbors to my mom (Betty Price). Our tea times at your house were wonderful, and we appreciated so much Bill’s help driving family members to and from the airport. Your many kindnesses will be remembered. To the Sankey family,
I just met Bill last year at a school function he and Rosalie were attending. My granddaughter and I seen Bill every morning when we would drive to school. We did not know him, nor did he know us, but every morning Bill waved to us and we looked forward to seeing him every day. When I met him, he only knew me by my car I drove. He made our morning by just a simple gesture as a wave. Addie and I will certainly miss a kind soul that briefly touched our lives. God bless you and your family and our deepest condolences.

My deepest sympathy to all of the Sankey family. I am still in shock over the loss of Bill. I can’t even fathom not seeing him out there walking anymore. Rosalie, I thank you all for letting me be a part of his life by babysitting for when the kids were young. Soooooooo many precious memories over the years. He always, always, always found a way to say hi to me whenver he saw me. What a uniqe and great guy and I can’t imagine how you all will feel without him. May those many memories you shared together over the years and the grace of God comfort you as you try to adjust to life without him here on earth. I am sorry I didn’t make it viewing hours, I really just have no excuse other than I got busy and forgot. RIP my friend and may you all know that heaven gained an angel and someday you will see each other again in a much better place. GOD BLESS you all!!!

I will miss Bill and his sense of humor. He and my husband Lee ,were friends growing up in the same Church on Clarksville Street in Greenville. Bill ended up marrying my cousin,Rosalie. I enjoyed seeing Bill different times while going into Walmart, and if he saw me he would try to beat me in the door. He stopped a couple times while riding his motorcycle past our house . He was a man of God!
