Caleb Napodano was a loving husband and father, a kindhearted man and a protective older brother. He leaves behind his gentle and dedicated wife of nearly seven years, Xien “Nana” Huang, and their fouryear old son, Shane Bradyn Napodano.

As the eldest of four siblings, Caleb was affectionately known as #1. He will be sadly missed by his brother Michael and his sisters Kaitlyn and Stephanie, #2, #3 and #4.

Caleb was born in Lincoln, Nebraska, on October 7, 1985, to Kathleen Renee (Giangiordano) Serenko and John Joseph Napodano, who preceded him in death.

As a child, Caleb had a brilliant smile that he was quick to share with everyone. Some of his happiest childhood memories were the tractor rides, fishing and other times he spent with his Grandpa and Grandma Giangiordano in Greenville, Pennsylvania. In his early years, Caleb also enjoyed competitive dance-offs with his brother Michael, which ironically always ended in a tie.

Caleb’s family and friends have fond memories of his creative moviemaking skills, including the nearly famous “Bloody Nuke V,” his fun-loving nature and his infectious laugh. He was always ready with an elaborate joke, such as gifting pets to his siblings at the holidays - always a surprise to his mother. Caleb was also extremely kind and thoughtful, and he wanted everyone to feel loved.

Caleb graduated from Jersey Village High School in Houston, Texas, in 2004. In 2008, he graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Operations and Supply Chain Management from the University of North Texas in Denton. He later received his master’s degree in International Management. Caleb often said that his mother instilled in him the value of education, and he passed that value on to his siblings.

Caleb disciplined himself to speak fluent Mandarin (Chinese), and he later used his bilingual skills to honor his wife and son’s cultural heritage and to expand his career opportunities.

On November 17, 2012, Caleb married Nana, the love of his life. They had a sweet and tender relationship, spending nearly every day together. In 2014, they welcomed their son, Shane. Nana’s family had a special place in his life – especially Pan Pan and Nana’s mother, Meihua Huang, whom he called “Mama Huang.”

Caleb spent 10 years in supply chain management roles, primarily in the manufacturing and telecommunications industries. His hobbies included maintaining exotic saltwater fish tanks and collecting Star Wars memorabilia for his son. He loved the Smashing Pumpkins as a teenager, but he especially enjoyed peaceful instrumentals and dramatic movie soundtracks. He had a natural musical ability and taught himself to play the guitar at the age of 16.

In addition to his wife, son, mother and siblings, Caleb is survived by his grandmothers, Adelaide Giangiordano and Ella Jane Napodano, along with dozens of loving aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Ralph Giangiordano and Sam Napodano.

To say that Caleb will be missed is an understatement. His memory and his gentle heart will be remembered and shared with his son Shane, so that he will grow up knowing that his father loved him “more than anything in the whole wide world.”
