Catherine J. Scibetta, age 90, formerly of Conneaut Lake Rd., Greenville, passed away Tuesday afternoon, May 4, 2021 in St. Paul's Senior Living Community.
She was born in Greenville on June 6, 1930 to Alvin and Nora (Chilcote) Chambers. Catherine attended Fredonia and Greenville schools and received her certification as a beautician from the Sharon School of Beauty. On July 13, 1963 she married Philip J. Scibetta, he passed away February 10, 2009. Prior to her marriage, she was employed at the R.D. Werner Co. and then operated out of her home Scibetta's Beauty Salon for 50 years.
She was a member of St. Michael Roman Catholic Church, Greenville and had been active with the Greenville Hospital Auxiliary. Catherine was an avid flower gardener and enjoyed reading, shopping and fashion and vacationing at Wildwood, NJ. She loved animals, most importantly her cats and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Catherine is survived by her son Philip S. Scibetta and his wife Rebecca of Pittsburgh and two grandchildren, Nicholas Scibetta and his wife Abi and Krista Scibetta. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a sister Helen Hall and two brothers Howard Chambers and Ernest Chambers.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Strayhaven Animal Shelter, 94 Donation Rd., Greenville, PA 16125.

Dear Phil and Family, I am so sorry for the loss of your Mom. She was a wonderful neighbor for many years! I will always remember her for the love of shopping and and all those crazy garage sales that her and my mom had each year. . I still have that sign your father made for them. Peace be with you.
Rip Aunt Catherine, you were always pure class. So sorry to hear of her passing.
