In remembrance and celebration of the life of a truly remarkable woman, Mrs. Charlotte Leoda Koehne née Swope. Born on the 12th of April 1936, in the humble town of Saxton, Pennsylvania, she was called home to be with the Lord on the 15th of July 2023, in Seguin, Texas. She passed away peacefully from natural causes, leaving behind a legacy of love, faith, and spirit.

Charlotte was the daughter of the late Sebert Eldon and Ellen Catherine Swope née Weimert. She was the beloved sister to Marylin Darlene Fenton née Swope, Theresa Ann Cratsley, and Joel ”Joe” Franklin Swope, and was preceded in death by her siblings Dale Melvin Swope and Wanda May Timblin née Swope. She was the cherished mother of Charles “Chuck” Wayne Koehne, Barton “Bart” Scott Koehne, Barry Dean Koehne, Marcia Lynn Herndon née Koehne, and Gwendolyn “Gwen” Jean McAllister née Koehne, and was predeceased by her son, Mark Anthony Koehne. She’s also survived by her 15 Grandchildren and 23 Great-Grandchildren. But above all, she was the devoted wife to Charles Robert Koehne, her husband of 66 blessed years.

After graduating from Jamestown High School, Charlotte embarked on a journey that spanned across various industries. She brought her hardworking spirit to Golden Dawn, Andover Plastics, Miller's Nursing Home, Motorola, Burger King, Walmart, and Greenbacks. No matter where she worked, Charlotte's faith-filled and spirited personality shone through, touching the lives of her colleagues and customers alike.

But Charlotte's life was far from being all work and no play. She found joy in the simple pleasures of life, such as gardening and croqueting. Her hands were rarely still, often busy creating beautiful seashell jewelry boxes that were a testament to her creativity and love for nature's beauty. Yet, her greatest passion was her family. Every moment spent with them was a moment cherished, a testament to her loving nature.

Anyone who had the pleasure of knowing Charlotte would tell you that her faith was the cornerstone of her life. She had a heart full of Jesus and was never shy about sharing His love with everyone she met. She was a beacon of light in the lives of many, guiding them towards faith with her unwavering devotion and love for the Lord.

Charlotte was a woman of spirit, whose faith-filled life touched everyone she met. Her love for her family was unmatched, and her passion for her interests was infectious. She was a woman of many talents, from her career achievements to her creative pursuits. Yet, it was her ability to love unconditionally and her unwavering faith that truly set her apart.

In conclusion, let us remember Charlotte for who she truly was - a loving wife, a devoted mother, a caring sister, a hardworking colleague, and a faithful servant of the Lord – Jesus Christ. As we mourn her passing, let us also celebrate her life, remembering the joy she brought into our lives and the lessons she taught us. Her spirit will live on in the hearts of those she left behind, a constant reminder of her love and faith.

In the words of the good book, 'Well done, good and faithful servant.' Charlotte Leoda Koehne, you have fought the good fight, and through perseverance you have finished the race, and you have kept the faith. Now, the crown of righteousness is yours. Amen.
