Chuck Skelley, 67, of Greenville, PA passed away peacefully on December 11, 2021 at UPMC Presbyterian after a hard fought battle with an extended illness.

Chuck was born on August 2, 1954 in Butler, PA to Howard and Mary Skelley, and graduated from Butler High School in 1972. He enlisted in the US Navy right out of high school proudly serving his nation during the Vietnam Conflict.

Chuck married the love of his life, Susan, on November 29, 1985 and together they were parents to Kristin (Richards) and Sean. Chuck was employed by the R.D. Werner Co. from 1986 until it’s closure and worked for various manufacturing operations around the area. His maintenance management skills were highly sought.  Chuck enjoyed spending time with his family, working outdoors, boating and woodworking. His grandkids were the center of his world and his smile and sense of humor could light up a room. He will be missed by all who knew him.

Chuck is survived by wife, Susan Skelley(Achenbach); his mother, Mary Skelley; his children Kristin (James) Richards of Greenville, Sarah (Ryan) Sayti of Mars, Egor Zhelesovskiy (Mackenzie) of Sharpsville, and was proceeded in death by his son, Sean Skelley.

Chuck's 5 grandchildren, Owen and Liam Richards, Kaylie and Ian McCurdy, and Sophia Zhelesovskiy his pride and joy and provided countless hours of pleasure for him! Chuck is also survived by siblings Mary Peffer, Joseph (Linda) Skelley, Paula (Ken) Wolfe, Lora Hayes, Robert (Grace) Skelley, as well as half-siblings Chuck Williams, Cindy Williams and Yvonne Ligus. He was also a loving uncle to many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his son Sean, Chuck was proceeded in death by his father, Howard Skelley, and his sister, Theresa Syfu.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Strayhaven Animal Shelter.
