Cyril F. Marshall, age 83, of Donation Rd., Hempfield Twp., passed away Friday afternoon, July 14, 2017 in his residence.
He was born in Greenville on July 17, 1933 to John and Magadelene (Ondrejake) Marshall. He was a 1951 graduate of St. Michael High School, served in the U.S. Navy aboard the U.S.S. Moore from 1951-1954, and was a 1959 graduate of the Bowman Technical Institute.
Cyril was the owner/operator of Marshall's Jewelry Store in Greenville for thirty-five years. He was a member and past usher of St. Michael Roman Catholic Church, Greenville and was a 4th Degree member of Knights of Columbus Fitzmartin Council #1446. He was also a member of Greenville VFW Post #3374 and during the early 1970's he served as a Little League Coach in Greenville, where he helped coach the 1973 Greenville All Star Team to a State Championship Team.
Cyril's hobbies and interests included, hunting, bird watching, western movies, sitting on his back porch with a beer, spending time with family and friends at their former cottage at Conneaut Lake, trips to Wal-Mart and rooting for Notre Dame Football and the St. Louis Cardinals.
On June 29, 1957 he married the former Mary Ann Godinich, she survives at home. Cyril and Mary Ann had three children, John F. Marshall, Sr. and his wife Kim of Uniontown, PA, Michael D. Marshall and his wife Julie of Greenville and a daughter, Julianne “Gigi” Weaver, whom passed away on February 10th of this year. Other survivors include, a brother Steve Marshall and his wife Claurice of Austintown, OH , nine grandchildren, Adam Marshall, Cody Marshall and his fiance Caity, Morgan Marshall, Ashley Barrett and her husband Gotti, John Marshall, Jr., Luke Marshall and his fiance Brittni, Danielle Mortimer and her husband Steven, Michael Weaver and Brent Coughenour and his fiance Olya and one great grandchild, Amelia Barrett. He was preceded in death by his parents, his daughter, a sister, Mary Risavi and three brothers, Louis Marshall, Joseph “Popeye” Marshall and Father John Marshall O.F.M.

To the Marshall family sorry for your loss. Mr. Marshall (Cyril), was a great man and will be truly missed.

and he sold me a railroad watch. He will be missed.

Dear Mary Ann, Mike, Julie, John and Grand kids. We were so sorry to hear about Cy’s passing. We were on vacation in Myrtle Beach and were unable to attend the services. I just looked at the tribute video. What great memories! So many made together with our wonderful Knights of Columbus family! We were truly a generation blessed by the best parents ever!
