
Darwin R. Peabody, Jr., age 49, of Alan Ave., Greenville, passed away unexpectedly of natural causes on Tuesday morning July 17, 2018 in his residence.Â
He was born in Greenville on December 8, 1968 to Darwin R. Peabody, Sr. and Shirley E. (Pifer) Peabody.  He attended Greenville Senior High School and had been previously employed as a welder at Trinity Industries. Darwin was a member of the Greenville Salvation Army and he enjoyed riding his bicycle, drawing, watching cartoons, rooting for the Pittsburgh Steelers and spending time with his grandchildren.Â
Survivors include three daughters; Julie N. Peabody and her companion Caleb Shoaff of Greenville, Cassandra M. Peabody of Farrell and Courtney M. Slavic of Greenville, a son; Damon M. Peabody of Greenville, his mother; Shirley Hobson and her husband Brian of Hermitage, a sister; Michele E. Watt of Oil City, two brothers; George A. Peabody and his wife Tracey and Randall L. Peabody, Sr. and his wife Trudy, all of Greenville and six grandchildren.Â
He was preceded in death by his father.
A memorial service will be held at 5:00pm, Monday July 23, 2018 in the Greenville Salvation Army, 288 Main St., Greenville, with Lieutenant Kara Martin, officiating. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the family c/o Loutzenhiser-Jordan Funeral Home.

I am very sorry to hear of Darwin’s passing. I went to school with him and he was always so friendly and spoke whenever he saw me. I pray that he is resting in peace now and for comfort for the family as you reflect on your loving memroies.
