David L. Floch, age 76, of N. Summit Rd., Jamestown went home to be with the Lord Thursday morning, August 19, 2021.

He was born in Greenville on October 23, 1944 a son of Wendell and Janet (McKenzie) Floch. He was a 1962 graduate of Jamestown High School. He was a lifelong farmer and was also employed at Jamestown Paint for 20 years. He was a lifelong member of Stateline United Methodist Church where he was a trustee. He was a member of Mercer County Holstein Association. Dave was an avid Cleveland Brown and Cleveland Indian fan. He was also a Jamestown Muskie fan and enjoyed watching his grandchildren at school events. He enjoyed many good times at the sale barn. Dave always had a deck of cards with him, hoping to play a game of Euchre. Dave was born and raised on the Floch farm, where his passion was Holstein cows and the everyday hard work it took to be a farmer. He enjoyed making hay with all the neighborhood children and afterwards would enjoy a game of wiffle ball. The 5th generation will continue his legacy at the farm. Dave was a very hardworking and giving man and above all the three most important things to him were family, faith, and farming.

He is survived by his four children, Lisa McElhinny and her husband Scott, Trudy Smith and her husband Doug, Jarred Floch and his wife Tana, and Jason Floch and his companion Jenna all of Jamestown; a brother, William “Bill” Floch and his wife Ruth of Oklahoma; seven grandchildren, Austin and Ashley Smith, Madison and Peyton McElhinny, Maranda and Jagger Floch, and Grady Floch. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Memorial contributions may be made to Stateline United Methodist Church, 263 W. State Rd., Jamestown, PA 16134.
