David A. Yesko, Sr., age 90, of Goetsch Rd., Greene Twp., Greenville, passed away on Saturday evening, December 31, 2016 in his residence.
Mr. Yesko was born in Sharon, PA on October 28, 1926 to John and Magdelina (Bassick) Yesko. He served in the United States Army Military Police during the Korean Conflict. He was a member St. Margaret's Roman Catholic Church, Jamestown and was a member of American Legion Post #140. David was employed as a fabricator at Sharpsville Steele Fabrication for 50 years.
On December 29, 1952 David married the former Janice Glover, she survives. Also surviving are six sons, David Yesko, Jr. and his wife Bonnie of Bosque Farms, New Mexico, Dennis Yesko and his wife Heather of Jamestown, Pa., Mark Yesko and his wife Wendy of Greenville, Tim Yesko and his wife Nancy of Greenville, Philip Yesko and his wife Linda of Greenville, Brian Yesko and his wife Debbie of Greenville; nine grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, Debra Yesko; an infant son, Alan Yesko; a grandson, Jason Yesko; three sisters, Margaret Yesko, Anna Yesko, and Rita Esmond; a brother, John Yesko.

We have a long history with the Yesko’s since we became neighbors in 1978. We were so sorry to learn of Mr. Yesko’s passing and will be thinking of the family in the days ahead.

I am sorry to read of Dave’s passing. When I lived in Sharpsville, I would occasionally run into Dave and John in the bank on payday. They sure could make me laugh. I will miss all the stories about my dad, his brothers, and their cousins Davey and Little John, but I will never forget them. You have my deepest sympathy…Rest in Peace Cousin Dave…You will be missed.
