Debra A. Reichard, age 70, of Shay Rd., Perry Twp., Hadley, passed away peacefully on Saturday afternoon, May 7, 2022 in UPMC Hamot after a courageous four year battle with ALS.
She was born in Greenville on October 5, 1951 to Richard N. and Antoinette M. (Tofani) Burns. Her father Richard was killed in action during the Korean War two weeks after her birth. Her mother was then married to Herbert L. Bresnan, Sr. Debbie was a 1969 graduate of Greenville High School and had been employed for twenty years in the food service department of Commodore Perry School District. She was of the Catholic Faith and was an avid reader, enjoyed ceramics, crocheting, traveling, spending winters in Avon Park, FL, annual family trip in the summer to Corolla, NC, social gatherings with her card club and class of 1969 girls and attending and supporting her grandchildren's activities.
Debbie will be most remembered for being a loving wife, mother and grandmother. On October 10, 1969 she married Joe Reichard, he survives. Also surviving is her daughter, Jennifer M. Nelson and her husband Jon of Girard, PA, her son, Joseph L. Reichard and his wife Julie of Greenville, two sisters, Terri Kimmy and her husband Rick of Clearfield, PA and Sheryl Mohr and her husband Jeff of Greenville, a brother, Tim Burns and his wife Pam of Hadley and five grandchildren, Lauryn Robie, Ryleigh Robie, Jacob Nelson, Nolan Reichard and Carter Reichard. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Herbert L. Bresnan, Jr., a niece, Mary K. Burns and her mother and father-in-law, Pete and Jean Reichard.

Joe and family, we were so very sorry to hear of the passing of Debbie. I have lots of great memories of us double dating back in high school. Debbie was a wonderful person and will be deeply be missed. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you at this difficult time. Cherish all the memories you had as a family. We are so very sorry we can’t make calling hours as we are leaving on vacation on Tuesday but we will be thinking of you.

I have many wonderful memories of our friendship and am so glad we got to visit at the last class reunion and that we had kept in touch over the years. She was a good, good friend. My Deepest Sympathies to Joe & his complete family, I was so saddened to get the news that Debbie had passed away. We went to school together, she graduated in 1969 & I graduated in 1968. Debbie always had such a beautiful smile & a wonderful personality to go with that smile. The heavens definitely gained a beautiful angel in Debbie. Most definitely.
