Edith M. Langietti, a lifelong resident of Greenville, was called away by our Lord on Tuesday, February 12, 2019 at the age of 91. She passed away with loving family by her side.
Mrs. Langietti was born November 19, 1927 in Greenville, PA to Mariano Giangiordano and Concetta (Parisi) Giangiordano. She was a 1944 graduate of St. Michael High School. She graduated from the Beauty Academy in Erie, PA. While raising four children in Greenville, she had a long career as a hairdresser and beautician, retiring in the 1990's.
She was a long standing parishioner of St. Michael Roman Catholic Church, Greenville. Her Husband, Anthony F. Langietti, preceded her in death, having passed away in 2009.
Surviving members of her family include: three daughters, Toni Marie Belany and her husband Dr. John Belany of Brookfield, OH; Jean Ann LaBoda and her husband Douglas LaBoda of Vernon, CT; Pamela Zahoran and her husband John Zahoran of Strattanville, PA; a daughter-in-law Mary Jane (Bako) Langietti of Roselle, IL (wife of Edith's son Ronald J. Langietti who also preceded Edith in death), one brother, Orlando Giangiordano and his wife Jennifer of Collegeville, PA; 11 grandchildren, Matthew Joseph, Christopher, Mollie, Paul, Patrick, Matthew Allen, Michelle, Craig, Danielle, Michol Anna and Jesse; and 7 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband Tony and son Ron, she was preceded in death by her parents and her brother Ralph Giangiordano and a grandson, Patrick Belany.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Michael School Endowment Fund, 80 N. High Street, Greenville, PA 16125 and directly at www.saintmichael1.org.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Loutzenhiser-Jordan Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 366-368 S. Main St., Greenville.

She was such a nice lady. My daughter Whitney could not say Edie so she always called her Grandma Wheatie. I am sure she will be missed very much by all of her family. You can be with your Ronnie now. Rest In Peace.
