Edith L. Thurber, age 72, of E. State Rd., Jamestown, passed away Wednesday morning, March 1, 2023 in UPMC Hamot, Erie after a brief illness.

She was born in Greenville on November 21, 1951 a daughter of Frank W. and Barbara L. (Locke) Thurber. She was a graduate of Sarasota High School. She was previously employed as a security guard at Target Stamped Products Corp. in Kinsman, Ohio for many years. Edith was a member of Jamestown VFW #5424 and was an avid golfer.

She is survived by two brothers, William Thurber and his wife Renee of Greenville, Frank Thurber of Hadley many nieces and nephews also survive.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers Keith Thurber, Larry Thurber, and a sister Susan Kelso.

Cremation was chosen and there will be no services. Arrangements have been entrusted to Loutzenhiser-Randall Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 416 Liberty St., Jamestown.

    Eddie was a great person. Sometimes a little gruff but had a heart of gold. Loved seeing her every morning at vfw. She will be missed greatly. Prayers for the family
