Eleanor R. Brest, age 99, formerly of Plum St., Greenville, passed away Friday morning, June 23, 2017 in St. Paul's.
She was born in Orangeville, PA on February 1, 1918 to Oren and Minnie (Artman) McClelland. She had attended Penn High School and on March 11, 1936 she married Robert E. Brest, he passed away on February 27, 2009.
Eleanor had been a homemaker as well as operating a ceramics business out of her home for 30 years. Also, during the 1950's she helped her late husband on their family farm in Otter Creek Twp.
She was a member of Grace Baptist Church, Greenville. She and her late husband enjoyed traveling together and had visited all fifty states. She also enjoyed gardening and cooking for her family.
She is survived by a daughter, Gail Carey and her husband John of Sheakleyville, three sons, Robert E. Brest and his wife Gertrude of Greenville, William E. Brest and his wife Rose of Greenville and Rodney P. Brest and his wife Beverly of Meadville, thirteen grandchildren and nineteen great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two sisters, Eva June Bancroft and Marian McCright, and two brothers, James McClelland and Fred McClelland.

Mrs. Brest was our neighbor for many years. I took ceramic lessons from her. She was such a sweet and wonderful lady. Nancy Goblinger Young
