Emily J. Gerasimek, age 80, of Whiting Rd., South Pymatuning Twp., Sharpsville, passed away after a brief illness Wednesday evening, December 8, 2021 in UPMC Shenango Valley.

She was born in Sharon, PA on January 1, 1941 to Robert D. and Ruth E. (Holzapfel) Fuller. Emily was a 1958 graduate of Brookfield High School and on September 6, 1958 she married Paul W. Gerasimek. She had worked at Packard Electric in Warren, OH for twenty years and then she and her husband were the co-owners of the Greenville Giant Eagle for over twenty years. Emily was affiliated with Rock of Grace Family Ministries in Kinsman, OH. She enjoyed traveling, cooking, baking, reading and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchild.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Kim D. Riffe and her companion Jim Metzger of Transfer, two grandchildren, Randy J. Riffe and his wife Sam and Savanna L. Riffe and a great-grandchild, Carter Joseph Riffe. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother Bob Fuller.

Per Emily's wishes, cremation was chosen and a private family service will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to Rock of Grace Family Ministries, 6745 State Rt. 5 Kinsman, OH 44428. Arrangements have been entrusted to Loutzenhiser-Jordan Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 366-368 S. Main St., Greenville.

    Paul & Kim, I’m so sorry to hear about Emily. She was a beautiful person. She was kind, loving, caring and she made a Texas sheet cake that was out of this world. She always made time to talk to all of us. Heaven definitely gained another angel. May the Lord comfort you and look to Him always.
