

Emogene L. Turcic, age 93, of Greenville, passed away at 12:15 PM Sunday Afternoon, April 17, 2016 in Countryside Nursing Home, Mercer.
Mrs. Turcic was born in Oil City, PA on November 22, 1922 to William Trube Allen and Lola (Foy) Allen. She was a 1940 graduate of Oil City High School and had been employed for 25 years as the payroll coordinator at Thiel College, retiring in 1994.
She was a life member of First Baptist Church in Oil City and Greenville, where she held various offices, served as a Sunday School Teacher, sang in the choir, and was a member of the American Baptist Women Association. Emogene had been a volunteer at the Good Shepherd Center and she truly enjoyed traveling to visit her family and taking bus trips with friends. She
was an avid Pittsburgh Steeler Fan and was fond of animals.
On December 6, 1952 she married Frank Turcic, he passed away on May 2, 1994. She is survived by a daughter, Diane Turcic of Greenville, a son, David Turcic and his wife Karen of Camas, WA, three grandchildren, Emily Jeanne Turcic, Jonathan Frank Turcic, and Sarah Diane Turcic, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, three sisters, Evelyn Osman, Gerrie Bish, and Bernie Rinehart, and a nephew, Jack Osman, Jr.

We loved your mom so much Diane and David. The Allen Family was the BEST family to be born into. Four sisters, bonded together, now together forever. Know they have reunited in gods hands now. She is at peace now, no more pain. She had the best care possible from you both. Lots of love to the family, she will be missed greatly.

Diane, Your family has our condolences and prayers. Your mom was a good neighbor. I also know that she helped a child at Kids Korner when there was a financial need many years ago. She was a caring person.
