Eric B. Kennedy, age 70, of Mehard Ave., Greenville, passed away Thursday afternoon, November 2, 2017 after a courageous battle with cancer. 

He was born in New Castle, PA on June 16, 1947 to Wray A. and Norma M. (Smith) Kennedy.  Eric was a 1965 graduate of Anaheim (CA) High School and had served in the U.S. Air Force from 1967-1969.  He was previously employed as a Mechanic with Anderson Coach and Travel and had worked at the former Trinity Industries and as a D.O.D. Contractor in Iraq. 

Eric was a friend of Bill W.'s for twenty-nine years.  He enjoyed working on old cars and motrocycles. 

On February 7, 1989 he married the former Marsha H. Waddell, she survives at home.  Also survivng are two daughters; Laurie Moyer of Sharpsville and Lynda Shaffer and her husband James of Palatka, FL, four sons; Fred Kennedy of Harrisville, Ricky Kennedy of Palatka, FL, Matthew Mong and his wife Sarah of Cocoa, FL and Daniel Mong and his wife Tiffany of Greenville, one sister; Marilyn Knapton of Fayettville, GA, three brothers; Fred Kennedy of Phoenix, AZ, Terry Kennedy of Everett, WA and James Kennedy of Phoenix, AZ and twelve grandchildren. 

He was preceded in death by his parents.

A memorial service will be held at 3:00pm on Sunday, November 5, 2017 in First Church of God, 1333 W. Main St., Grove City, PA, with Pastor Heidi Mikulin, officiating.  Inurnment will be private in Venago Cemetery, Venango, PA.

Memorial contributions may be made to Strayhaven Animal Shelter, 94 Donation Rd., Greenville, PA 16125.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Loutzenhiser-Jordan Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 366-368 S. Main St., Greenville.
