Ethel Sluzewski, age 94, of Jamestown, went home to be with her Savior Jesus Christ Monday evening at 8:36pm, May 7, 2018 at AristaCare at Park Avenue in Meadville.

She was born in Cleveland, OH on January 31, 1924 a daughter of Istvan and Rosa (Ratz) Soos.  On July 5, 1948 Ethel married Matthew Sluzewski, he passed away December 16, 1983.  She enjoyed quilting, reading, gardening, and rooting for the Cleveland Indians. She was a  member of Harvest Baptist Church.

Ethel is survived by two sons; Dale Sluzewski and his wife Terry of Windsor, Co and Gary Sluzewski and his wife Jan of Strongsville, OH, a daughter; Jill Ferguson and her husband Curt of Jamestown, 6 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, three brothers, Joseph Soos, Steve Soos, and Frank Soos, five sisters, Mary Toth, Rose Babics, Helen Friebott, Ann Prosek, and Irene Majcher. It was her blessing to know that Jesus died, was buried and rose again to pay for her sins. It was also her hope that her family, loved ones and everybody who knew her had the hope of salvation too. Many have said that they are sorry for our loss, we simply say we have not lost anything, we know right where she is!

With a thankful heart, the family would like to express their gratitude for the kind, loving and faithful care that AristaCare at Park Avenue in Meadville, PA gave our loved one over the past 4 years.  You set our minds at ease knowing she was being taken care of so well.

Memorial contributions may be made to the family C/O Loutzenhiser-Randall Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 416 Liberty St., Jamestown, PA 16134.
