Eva Jennie Fry, age 89, of N. Maysville Rd., W. Salem Twp., passed away Sunday, September 26, 2021 after a brief illness.

She was born in Greenville on May 2, 1932 to Lawrence and Elizabeth (Reinhart) Locke. Eva attended Penn High School and on Oct. 29, 1949 she married Raymond Fry. She was a Homemaker and had also worked for Mercer County Crippled Children. Eva was a member of Crossroads Christian Fellowship, where she was active with the Wednesday Ladies Bible Study and helped with funeral dinners. She enjoyed traveling with her husband during retirement years, cooking, and was a great host in her home and most of all, being the glue of her family.

She is survived by her husband, four sons; Daniel L. Fry and his wife Vivian of Transfer, Bradley R. Fry of Greenville, John D. Fry and his wife Debbie of Adamsville and Raymond H. Fry, Jr. and his wife Rhonda of Greenville, seven grandchildren; Melissa Blackson, Bradley Fry, Jr., Jeremy Fry, Jonathan Fry, Jennifer Reynolds, Raymond Fry III and Garrett Fry, eleven great-grandchildren and nine great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers; Charles Griffin, Jack Locke and Larry Locke, three sisters; Dora McClimans, Naomi Royal and Barbara Thurber and a grandson; Daniel R. Fry.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00am on Saturday October 16, 2021 in Crossroads Christian Fellowship. Family and friends will be received in the church on Saturday from 10:00am until time of the service. Memorial contributions may be made to Crossroads Christian Fellowship, 805 Vernon Rd., Greenville, PA 16125. Arrangements have been entrusted to Loutzenhiser-Jordan Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 366-368 S. Main St., Greenville.

    So sorry to learn of the passing of Eva. She was a wonderful lady. We worked together at the preschool and I remember the kindness that she displayed to the children, as well as to me. My sympathy to her family who I know she loved very much.
