Floyd E. “Dutch” Altman, age 60, of Hoofbeat Trail South Shenango Twp., Jamestown, PA passed away Thursday morning, April 7, 2016 at his residence.

Mr. Altman was born in Juliet, IL on November 4, 1955 to Cleason “Snuffy” and Anna (Spradlin) Altman.  He served in the U.S. Marine Corp. and had been employed as a diesel mechanic at AIM National Lease.

He was a member of the Rochester Owls Nest #1822, Rochester VFW post # 128, and the Rochester Fraternal Order of Eagles. Dutch was an avid hunter and fisherman.

On March 25, 1983 he married the former Bonnie Stelter, she survives at home.  Other survivors include, two daughters, Deanna Altman of Las Vegas, NV and Miranda Altman of Jamestown, a son, Jeffrey Altman of Jamestown, two sisters, Janice Blue of Groveport, OH and Renae Crider and her husband Chuck of Rochester, Pa, two brothers, Leonard Altman of Kernersville, NC and Leland Altman and his wife Mary of Rochester, Pa, three grandchildren, Emmalyn, Hunter, and Jacob, father-in-law, William Stelter of Rochester, Pa, sister-in-law, Brenda Brewer and her husband Dennis of Rochester, brother-in-law, Billy Stelter and his wife Millie of Deland, Fl. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews. 

Dutch was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters, Delorse Hostetter who was his twin, Shirley Jiuliani, and Nancy River, a brother, Cleason Altman, Jr., a sister-in-law, Mary Altman, a brother-in-law, James River, his mother-in-law, Beverly Stelter, and a nephew, Brian Stelter.

Cremation was chosen and no public services are planned.  Arrangements are under the direction of Loutzenhiser-Randall Funeral Home and Cremation Services,  416 Liberty St., Jamestown.
