Frank A. Hiland, Jr., age 52, of Kinsman, OH passed away Wednesday afternoon, June 30, 2021 in his residence. He was born in Greenville on November 28, 1968 a son of Frank A. Hiland, Sr. and Shirley (Wood) McElhaney. He was a 1987 graduate of Joseph Badger High School and he was enrolled in an apprenticeship program from 1993 until 1998 at JVS in Youngstown, OH.
He was employed as a journeyman steelmetal worker with local 33 in the Youngstown District. He was a member of Kinsman Presbyterian Church. Frankie enjoyed fishing, hunting, and spending time with his boys.
He is survived by his father Frank of Cortland, OH; his mother Shirley of Kinsman, OH; step-father and special confidant, James Russo of Sharon; two sons, Frank A. Hiland and Evan G. Hiland both of Farmdale, OH; a sister, Heather Keeling and her husband Greg of Mineral Ridge, OH; two step sisters, Michele Buchholz and her husband Joe of Jamestown, Maureen McClimans and her husband Mike of Jamestown; a special cousin, Brett Strimple; his best friend, Steve Higgins; mother of his children, Meghan Hiland; and his favorite dog Billy.
He was preceded in death by his step-father Carl McElhaney and his step-mother Donna Hiland.
Memorial contributions may be made to an organization of one's choice.
