My first job was selling milk at Murphy’s Dairy back in the 1970s. I am so sorry to hear of your loss. I am sorry that I did not see this sooner. Both of my parents, John & Dolores Romanic, passed last year. I was home in January and found an old wire carrier and 8 glass milk bottles in the shed that I brought home with me to Maryland. I so loved my little job at Murphy’s. I stumbled into this announcement because I was searching online for vintage milk bottle caps to put on the bottles that I brought home with me. None of the bottles I found in Mom & Dad’s shed had the red script “Murphy’s Dairy” on them, so I don’t know where they are actually from. If anyone reads this and knows if anyone has 8 of those round cardboard milk caps from Murphy’s dairy–or even just 8 of the inserts, I would be happy to pay for 8 of them. Please do tell Martha that I think of her often and long for those simpler days. Martha was the one who supervised me, and in my head she still has beautiful long brown hair and smiling, sparkling eyes. I am grateful to all of you for the opportunity to have been taught to work hard and enjoy it! God Bless You, All. Susan Romanic sueromanic@gmail.com 410-995-0435
