Gary R. Griswold, age 68, of 16th St., Pymatuning Twp., Greenville, passed away Friday, July 2, 2021 in UPMC Passavant-McCandless, after a 6 month battle with cancer.
He was born in Farrell, PA on May 25, 1953 to Paul M. and Grace L. (Thompson) Griswold. Gary was a graduate of Fremont High School, Sunnyvale, CA and had worked for Greenville Wood Products for over 15 years. He was a member of Greenville V.F.W. #3374 and enjoyed woodworking, carpentry, cooking, working on cars and truly loved his family as well as his dogs Zeus and Mya.
On July 18, 1981, he married the former Julie M. Moats, she survives at home. Also surviving is a daughter, Shelby L. Griswold, a son, Trevor L. Griswold, both of Greenville and a brother, Rick Griswold of Prosperity, SC. He was preceded in death by his parents, six sisters, Velma Amon, Jackie Creswell, Flo Furey, Marge Griswold, Paulette Vanderslice, Sue Shrock and three brothers, Sonny Griswold, Frank Griswold and Loren Griswold.
