Harvey A. Schreiner, age 100, of 110 Fredonia Rd., Hempfield Twp., formerly of Leech Rd., Hempfield Twp., went to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday afternoon, October 15, 2018 in The Grove at Greenville.
He was born in Freedom, PA on November 13, 1917 to Joseph S. and Suzanne (Matlock) Schreiner. Harvey was the owner/operator of Schreiner's Welding in New Castle for 45 years.
Harvey was a member of N. Salem Wesleyan Methodist Church. He was always involved in his church and was also known as an excellent baker. On September 20, 1940 he married the former Hazel Mae Powell, she passed away April 13, 2005.
He is survived by two daughters, Rosalie L. Sankey and her husband Bill and Janet Schreiner all of Greenville, a sister, Lillian Schreiner of Beaver Falls, a brother, Oliver Schreiner of Michigan, five grandchildren; Rose Marie Lang, Sherri Lynn Robinson, Bruce R. Sankey, Larry Dittman and Scott Dittman and several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Harvey was preceded in death by his parents, wife, an infant son, Richard H. Schreiner, three sisters and five brothers.
