Helen M. Kosnac, 97, of Export, PA and formerly of Greenville, died at 9:33 p.m. Wednesday, September 14, 2016, at UPMC East, Monroeville, PA after a short illness.
Mrs. Kosnac was born October 24, 1918, to Michael A. and Mary F. (Zak) Redzinak, in Donora, PA. She married Rudolph Kosnac on July 19, 1948. She attended Penn High School and Shenango Business School.
She worked at Greenville Steel Car and was a waitress at several area restaurants. She was a member of St. Michael’s Roman Catholic Church, Greenville.
Helen loved her family and her family loved her very much. She enjoyed spending time with her family, cooking and her crafts.
Preceding her in death was her husband, Rudolph C. Kosnac. He passed away on July 31, 2007. She was also preceded in death by her parents and six brothers: Stanley Redzinak, Ed Redzinak, Joseph Redzinak, Benny Redzinak, Henry Redzinak and Chester Redzinak; and a sister, Gertrude Tofani.
Helen is survived by a son, Michael Kosnac and his wife, Marilyn, of Conneaut Lake; and her daughter, Stephanie Hayes and husband, Jim, of Export, PA, whom she made her home with; her sister, Antoinette Rieu of Bowie Maryland; five grandchildren, Michael Kosnac, Jr., Rebecca (Brad) Baughman, James (Lesley) Hayes, Kimberly (Joseph) Clemens, and Caitlin(Michael) Furlong; 6 great grandchildren, James, Rudy, Elizabeth Hayes, Jackson and Grant Baughman, and Hawk Henry Clemens; sister-in-laws, Margaret (Bob)Shannon and Lena Redzinak.; and several nephews and nieces.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Michael School Endownment Fund or St. Michael Church, 85 North High Street, Greenville, PA.

So sorry to hear about ur mom. Good bless u all. We lived ur mom n dad they will be greatly missed.
