Helene G. Marini, age 92, of Lorene Ave. Greenville, passed away Saturday evening, October 23, 2021 in UPMC Horizon Greenville.

She was born in Berlin, Germany on February 21, 1929 to Wilhelm and Helene (Pyttlik) Gerlach. On March 8, 1955 she married Alfred “Freddy” Marini, whom she met while while he was stationed in Germany. Helene was a Homemaker and enjoyed knitting, crocheting, baking, cooking and most of all, spending time with her friends and family. She was an active member of Christian Assembly Church, Greenville, where she was involved with the Dorcas Women's Group and the Knitting Club and she had previously helped clean the church for many years, sang in the choir and taught Sunday School.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughter, Cynthia L. Stefanovsky (David) of Streetsboro, OH, a son, Donald N. Marini (Carmen Fazio) of Greenville, two sisters, Doris Devereaux of Portland, OR and Luise Klemenz of Keil, Germany two grandchildren, Londa H. Churchill (Zach) of Stow, OH and Megan L. Kraft (J.P.) of Cuyahoga Falls, OH and two great-grandchildren, Evan Churchill and Zoey Kraft. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Erika Fischer.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Christian Assembly Church, 111 Main St., Greenville, PA 16125.
