
Howard P. Lapidus, age 92, of Stoney Brook Blvd., Greenville passed away Wednesday evening, November 15, 2017 in his residence.
He was born on January 31, 1925 a son of Benjamin and Harriett (Leand) Lapidus. He was a graduate of Rhode Island University with at BA in marketing and served his country in the United States Army during World War II in Italy, the Battle of Anzio.
On July 7, 1981 Howard married Vicki Herrick, she survives. He was a national sales manager at Leggitt and Platt, California. He enjoyed golfing at Pleasant Acre Golf Course and exercising with the silver sneakers at the wellness center. He was a very compassionate man who was very giving who loved his children and his dogs.
He is survived by his wife of Greenville, a daughter; Nancy Livingston and her husband Keith of Quincy, MA, two sons; Bryan Broadbent of Hunnington Beach, CA and David Lapidus of Reno, NV, two grandchildren and three great grandchildren also survive.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Irving Lapidus.
As per Howard's wishes, cremation was chosen and there will be no services. Inurnment will be private in Park Lawn Cemetery.
