Condolences and sorrow to Johnny and family on your recent loss of Jim who always seemed to have an upbeat, lighthearted attitude about life. I well remember him from days at Steel Car and will never forget his screaming ‘Super Honky” at area pulls and fairs over the decades with his trademark dark shades, hat pulled low over the brow along with the always-unlit smoke protruding as the dust would swirl like a summer tornado and dirt would fly everywhere as the motor seemed to turn 10,000 plus rpm. His runs always raised the goosebumps along with huge applause from a crowd he’d always won over regardless of the meet results; he was a hero in those local sporting events and will be missed by many of us left with the best memories of a great guy in Jim!!

My heart was broken when I heard you left this earth alone. I will always cherish our time spent together, especially last week. That smile and sense of humor will always stick in my mind. Our bond could never be broken, and because of that, I have peace of mind. You’ll always be in my heart. Rest in peace sweet man. Until we meet again babe.
