James J. Riveley, age 85, of Jamestown passed away Wednesday afternoon, October 24, 2018 in St. Vincent Hospital.

He was born in Newark, NJ on January 17, 1933 a son of Lawrence and Eleanor Riveley. He was a 1951 graduate of Newark High School. On June 6, 1987 Jim married the former Dorothea Callaghan, she survives.

He was employed for over 27 years at Fairmont Chemical, Newark, NJ. Jim was a good hearted man and a handyman.

Jim is survived by his wife Dorothea of Jamestown, three sons; John Riveley and his wife Joann of Kentucky, Ronald Zinno and his wife Lisa of Cambridge Springs, PA, and Michael Zinno and his wife Carolyn of Arizona, six grandchildren, Corey Zinno, Amber Zinno, Susan Zinno, Katie Zinno, Penny Riveley, and Monica Riveley.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, James Riveley.

A committal service will be held at 11:30am on Monday, October 29, 2018 in the chapel at Park Lawn Cemetery with Rev. John Hodge, Pastor of Jamestown United Methodist Church, officiating. Arrangements entrusted to Loutzenhiser-Randall Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 416 Liberty St., Jamestown.
