Janet E. Collins, age 87, of Depot St., Jamestown passed away Wednesday afternoon 12-21-16 in St. Paul's.
Mrs. Collins was born in Kinsman, OH on February 25, 1929 daughter of Rodney and Maude (Moore) Sisley. She was a graduate of Badger High School, Kinsman, OH and on April 15, 1950 Janet married Kenneth Collins, he survives.
She was employed at the United States Post Office for many years. She was a member of Jamestown Presbyterian Church where she served as a Sunday School Teacher. Janet was a member of the Order of Eastern Star 100 Century Chapter and had served as worthy matron in 1964 and 1991. Her interest include gardening, outside activities, watching truck pulls and NASCAR racing.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son, Mark Collins and his wife Karen of Jamestown; a daughter, Glenda DeBrouse of Medina, OH; two sisters, Eloise Beda and her husband Carl of Cortland, OH and Jean Ware and her husband Dave of Warren, OH; and three grandchildren, Stacy Halt, Dana Brown, and Christine Brown.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, Ardena Meikle and Marvel Roof; and two brother-in-laws, Robert Meikle and Morris Roof.
