Jean E. Wood, age 81, of North Dr., Jamestown, passed away Sunday afternoon, December 11, 2022 in her residence.

She was born in Philadelphia, PA on September 2, 1941 a daughter of Christian F. and Nan (McClelland) Mayer. She was a 1959 graduate of Drexell Hill High School and on September 5, 1964, Jean married Ivor Wood, Jr., he passed away April 11, 2016. She was a member of Westford United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women, Order of the Eastern Star, Jamestown Flower Club, Jamestown Card Club, and was a Pittsburgh School Board Member. Jean enjoyed playing cards, going to the lake, bird watching, and truly enjoyed spending time with family.

She is survived by two daughters, Beth O'Neill and her husband Brian of Pittsburgh, Jeanne McKelvey and her husband John of Jamestown; a son Ivor Wood III and his wife Kelli of Pittsburgh; two sisters, Christine Mayer and Linda Strong and her husband Howard; eight grandchildren, Emily Budde (Derek), Shane Novak (McKenzie), Taylor Clark (Adam), Jake McKelvey, Ivor Wood IV, Kara McKelvey, Terry O”Neill (Colleen), and Sean O'Neill (Jessie); five great grandchildren, Cadain, Lena, Eily, Nora, and Owen; and her dog Holly.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
