Joan C. Aubel, age 80, of Mercer Rd., Hempfield Twp., Greenville passed away Monday morning, July 9, 2018 with her family by her side in Countryside Convalescent Home, Mercer.
She was born in Greenville on November 10, 1937 a daughter of Charles W. and Jeannette J. (Junk) Kreps. She was a 1955 graduate of Strong Vincent High School, Erie.
Joan was employed as a switch board operator at Thiel College and had previously been employed in the medical records department of the Greenville Medical Center. She was a member of St. Michael Roman Catholic Church, Greenville. Joan enjoyed singing, dancing, and performed with Mary Ann Marshall at many local events.
She is survived by three daughters; Cynthia Sankey of Greenville, Patricia Diethorn and her husband John of Pittsburgh, and Anna Marie Uhrin and her husband Michael of Greenville, her companion; Raymond Bayuk of Greenville, a sister; Marcia Cummins of Akron, OH, a brother; James Kreps of Warren, OH, two grandchildren; Brett Uhrin and his wife Ashlee and Mika Diethorn; a great grandson; Carter Uhrin and many nieces and nephews.Â
She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Charles Kreps and a son-in-law, Doc Sankey.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Loutzenhiser-Jordan Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 366-368 S. Main St., Greenville, PA.

I remember all of us growing up in the neighborhood. I’m so glad that I had met your mother. She was a special lady! I’m so glad that she no longer has pain. You will, someday, all be together again. My deepest sympathy to you and your families.
