
Joan M. Calvin, age 86, of Adamsville Rd., Hartstown passed away Thursday morning, July 8, 2021 in Embassy of Park Avenue, Meadville. She was born in Meadville on May 11, 1935 a daughter of Carl C. and Leora (Snodgrass) Jackson.
She was a graduate of Conneaut Lake High School and on October 20, 1956 Joan married Virgil P. Calvin, he passed away March 8, 2012. She was previously employed in the central office at Conneaut Lake Park, Garvin Division, Adamsville for 14 years, and National City Bank, Conneaut Lake, for 11 years. She attended Atlantic Congregational Church. She enjoyed baking pies and cookies with her grandchildren, crocheting afghans for family and friends, and cooking holiday meals.
She is survived by three sons, Terence E. Calvin and his wife Barbara of Jamestown, Thomas E. Calvin and his companion Jenn Bailey of Conneaut Lake, William P. Calvin of Beaver Falls, PA; three grandchildren, April, Alyssa, and Paul; two step-grandsons, Dave and Gary; three great grandchildren; and five step-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and brother Carl Jackson.
As per Joan wishes, cremation was chosen and there will be no services. Inurnment will be in Rocky Glen Cemetery, Adamsville. Arrangements have been entrusted to LOUTZENHISER-RANDALL FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION SERVICES, 416 LIBERTY ST., JAMESTOWN.
