John A. Brockway, age 89, of 339 E. Jamestown Rd. W. Salem Twp., passed away Friday evening 11-11-16 in St. Paul's.  He was born in Greenville on September 12, 1927 to James and Mary (Callahan) Brockway.  He was a 1945 graduate of Penn High School and from 1950-1952 he served with the U.S. Army 504th Military Police Battalion.

John was employed for a short time at the Bessemer & Lake Erie R.R. and had retired as the parts manager after 35 years of employment from Dart's Chevrolet, Buick, Oldsmobile, Cadillac.  John had attended First Baptist Church, Greenville, and was a member of F&AM Eureka Lodge #290, and the New Castle Consistory. 

In addition, John was a past member of the W. Salem Twp. Grange and he enjoyed square dancing and had been a former member of the “Star Promenadeors”.

On June 8, 1954 he married the former Emma Jane Loutzenhiser, she survives.  Also surviving is a brother, Clair Brockway of Greenville and several nieces and nephews. 

He is preceded in death by his parents, and a brother Gail Brockway.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the donor's choice.

    Emma Jane,
    So sorry to hear of John’s passing. I know how missed he will be. I would come down foe the services, but my wife is sick right now. May god be with you.
