John W. Queer, age 92, of Espyville, passed away Thursday morning, December 7, 2017 in Park Avenue Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, Meadville.  

He was born in Berlin, PA on April 3, 1925 a son of Levi and Mamie (Rose) Queer.  He was a graduate of Berlin Brothersvalley High School and served his country in the United States Air Force from 1943 until 1946.

On November 18, 1949 John married Doris Walker, she passed away August 4, 1977 he then married Mary Alice White on March 14, 1979, she passed away December 4, 1999.

He was employed as a fleet testing supervisor at Lubrizol Corp., Cleveland for 33 years and also worked as a part-time police officer in Willoughby, OH.

He was a long time member of Jamestown Lion's Club, Linesville American Legion Post #462, and Willoughby Elk's Club. John enjoyed hunting, fishing, trips to the casino, and was an avid Cleveland Indians fan.  

He is survived by a son; Daniel R. Quior and his wife Valarie of Willoughby, OH, a sister; Evanelle Fox of Linthicum Heights, MD, two brothers; Merle Queer of Ashland, OH and Thomas Quinn of Ashland, OH, a grandson Daniel J. Quior of Ohio, two great grandchildren; special companion of 17 years, Edna Jean Schmeltz of Linesville,  and many nieces and nephews. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, both wives, and a brother, Alfred Queer.
