I was so sorry to learn of Joyce’s passing. I worked with her at Thiel for the entire time she worked here (I’m retiring in May after 40 years) and liked her so much. She and Dick were also good friends of my sister, Sandy Thompson. My deepest sympathies and prayers go out to her family.

    Dick and Weaver Family:

We have such great memories of our school years with Joyce and Dick. More recently we were able to reconnect and once again found joy in spending a little time with them. Joyce was always quick with a witty remark and kept everyone smiling. We are sorry for your loss but blessed to have spent some quality time with the Weavers.

I have very fond memories of being high school friends with Janine and spending time around Janine’s family. From picking rutabaga’s out of the garden, playing school in the basement and Joyce driving us girl scouts all around. She made you feel so welcome in her home. She always made me feel like I was special. She is a special lady. She is now in Heaven cracking jokes with my dad!
Disk, I’m so sorry for the love of your life not being with you. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
Cindi and Janine, I pray for time to heal your hearts and the love. Yall have uphold you!

Dick, Janine, Cindy, and family. Was saddened to hear of your loss. The tribute video of Joyce was beautiful. I have many fond memories growing up knowing Joyce, and later in life knowing all of you through church. Knowing her faith, she is at peace, in heaven. Rest in that assurance, as you miss her here on earth. Beautiful person and beautiful family. May God bless you all, especially during this difficult time.

    Dearest Dick and family,
Joyce is walking with Jesus and I know that gives you peace and joy. Joyce on this earth was an unforgettable ray of sunshine and we loved her so much here at Village View Community Church for her sweet and spunky personality. She served as an usher and was always helpful and friendly to others. Little did I know that when we first met at our church in Florida that we had met years before when we pastored our first church in Greenville and I was a student getting my teaching degree at Thiel College. I knew I had looked in those beautiful blue eyes and had seen that sweet smile before and we had fun figuring out that connection from years before. Joyce, I look forward to looking at your beautiful face again when I get to heaven’s gate! Praying for those who will miss you for strength and peace from God. We are all blessed by knowing and being friends and loved ones of Joyce!
