
Karen A. Hanna, age 69, of Westford Rd., S. Shenango Twp., Jamestown, passed away unexpectedly Saturday afternoon July 2, 2022.
She was born in Meadville on December 27, 1952 to Richard F. and Florence E. (Fleek) O'Connor. Karen was a graduate of Cambridge Springs High School and was currently employed by S. Shenango Twp. as a Zoning Officer and Property Maintenance Officer. She had previously been employed by the South and North Shenango Twp. Sewer Authority, had worked as the Activity Director at Rolling Fields Nursing Home and had been employed by what was National City Bank, in their Student Loan Department. Karen was affiliated with Westford United Methodist Church, where she volunteered for many of their fundraisers. She was a member of Jamestown Fireman's Club. For many years she helped her husband with his race car, working in the pits for every race. Karen also enjoyed crafts, baking and boating. She loved to spend time with family and friends and was known as a very caring person.
On December 2, 1996, she married William S. Hanna, he survives. Also surviving are two sisters, Cindy McCabe and her husband Bill of Phoenix, AZ and Colleen Anderson and her husband Jeff of Goodyear, AZ, three nieces and three nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Michael O'Connor.
A Celebration of Life Service will be planned for a date and time to be determined. Burial will be in Park Lawn Cemetery, Jamestown. Memorial contributions may be made to Westford United Methodist Church, 2031 Westford Rd., Westford, Pa 16134. Arrangements have been entrusted to LOUTZENHISER-RANDALL FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION SERVICES, 416 Liberty St., Jamestown, PA.

So very sad to hear of Karen! What a beautiful woman inside and out! One thing Karen knew for certain was how much her husband loved her, her sister-in-law Brenda, her family and many many friends..Who didn’t love Karen?!

I’m sorry for your loss…Karen was my supervisor when we worked at the bank in the student load center… I hadn’t seen her since 1996 but I often thought of her …she was a very kind and patient lady
