RIP old friend. You will be missed.
My sincere condolences to the entire Staley family. My continued thoughts and prayers.
It was always great to catch up with Larry at our high school class reunions. I find it so interesting that Larry (as our football team center) and I (as our football quarterback) chose the same profession. We both taught fourth grade. I fondly remember a speech course we took together while at Clarion State. For one of our speech assignments, we explained, modeled, and demonstrated the exchange between the center and the quarterback. We both received A’s for that particular speech. During our football games, we never had a fumble because of Larry’s attention to detail, practice, and skill. Larry was a great friend, classmate, and teammate. His work ethic, constant positivity, and perseverance will always be remembered. He was someone you wanted to emulate. Larry was so accountable, consistent, trustworthy, and nice every day. Over the years, he was always interested in my career, my life, and my family. We had recently made plans to travel back to Clarion together to visit another one of our high school friends. I am extremely grateful for the fact that I knew Larry Staley. What a son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, teacher, and friend. Truly an All-American. I will miss you, Beans. Sincerely, Larry Mumford, Avon Lake, Ohio

Sympathies and prayers for the Staley family. I had Mr. Staley for my teacher in 3rd and 5th grades. I Graduated with son Joel in 1989. Thoughts are with all of his family during this difficult time.
Sympathies To the Staley Family, Wishes of peace to you and yours in this time of sorrow. Larry and I went all through school together. Just seen him in September at our 60th class reunion. While watching his family pictures on the Obit, I’m sitting here at my computer with a tissue wiping tears. God Bless to All.
Carol and family. Was so sorry to hear of Larry’s passing. To know that his pain is over has to be some relief. I know what what watching s loved one is like. You feel so helpless. Larry was a great guy like all of the others has said and will be missed daily. I would see him when he volunteered at the hospital. Always that Staley smile. My prayers and thoughts are with you as you continue your journey till you meet again. God Bless.
Sorry to hear about the passing of Larry. A great classmate always with a welcoming smile. I’m sure he will be missed by all.
Gods grace and peace for his family.
My best memories are the bicycle trips Larry and I took locally and the weeklong Great Ohio Bicycle Adventure (GOBA) we did several times. Lake Wilhelm Bike Trail was our favorite local trail.
Larry, you are missed by both if us.
