Loretta M. Groce, age 83, formerly of Greenville, passed away Tuesday morning, January 4, 2022 in Martinsburg, PA.

She was born in Youngstown, OH on September 24, 1938 to Willard D. and Emma M. (Morgan) Owens. She was a 1956 graduate of Penn High School and was employed for 26 years as a business analyst at National City Bank, retiring in 2001. Loretta was a past member of Hillside Presbyterian Church, Greenville, where she had been active with the Sunshine Class. She was a past member of B.P.W. in Greenville. She enjoyed traveling, reading, singing, fishing and most of all, her family.

On October 6, 1956, she married George W. Groce, he survives. Also surviving are three daughters, Georgie A. Fetterolf and her husband Jeff of Lawrenceville, GA, Margo A. Roberts and her husband Larry of Meadville and Emilee S. Elder and her husband John of Duncansville, a son, William D. Groce and his wife Noreen of Tampa, FL;14 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters, Barbara Kalenitz, Gwen Green and Carole Adams, a brother, Tom Owens, a grandson Seth A. Groce, a granddaughter Charla A. Groce and an infant granddaughter, Jane Hovis Groce.

In honor of Loretta's love of hats, the family asks that everyone wear their favorite hat. Memorial contributions may be made to the Benevolent Fund at Homewood at Martinsburg, 437 Givler Drive, Martinsburg, PA 16662 or to the Alzheimer's Association in honor of the deceased.

    A wonderful lady that will be missed by all who ever new her, I am proud to have been able to call her my Aunt Rhett! RIP, heaven is a better place now

    Beautiful tribute, I love all the pictures. She was a beautiful soul.. I know she will be missed by all who knew her. I’m sorry for your loss..
