Louis G. Davis, Jr., age 80, of Windsor Dr., Hempfield Twp., Greenville, passed away Tuesday morning, October 23, 2018 in his residence after a brief illness.
He was born in Aliquippa, PA on August 3, 1938 to Gaylord and Lealla (Barber) Davis. Lou was a graduate of Mercer High. He retired earlier this year from Sharon Coating, where he had been employed since 1995 in the Maintenance Department. He was previously employed at PI&I, Sharon Steel Corp. and West Track.
Lou was an avid Pittsburgh Sports Fan, especially the Steelers, and he enjoyed fishing and had taken a yearly fishing trip to Port Clinton for many years.
In 1958 he married the former Karen E. Beil, she passed away on June 8, 2006.
Survivors include a daughter; Christine E. Hile and her husband Ron of Mercer, two brothers; Carl Davis and his wife Cheryl and Russell Davis and his wife Charlene, all of Hermitage, his five grandchildren whom he was very proud of; Jacob Osborne, Jennifer Osborne, Julia Hile, Elizabeth Burk and Lance Davis, Jr., two great-grandchildren; Jaina Burk and Madison Burk, his companion; Beverly Reimold of Greenville and her children; Mary Ann Greco of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, Julie Marshall and her husband Michael and Mark Reimold, all of Greenville.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a son; Lance Davis, Sr. and a sister; Shirley Moose.
