Louise Santone, age 94, of Columbia Ave., Greenville, passed away Monday morning, March 21, 2022 in St. Paul's Senior Living Community.

She was born in Herrick, OH on October 20, 1927 to John and Pearl (Fawcett) Edgehouse. Lou was a Homemaker who truly loved to cook for her family almost daily and has hosted Sunday dinners for over fifty years. She was an avid sports fan and could often be found watching the Steelers, Pirates, Browns and Indians as well as enjoying a good PBR pounder.

On September 6, 1947 she married James A. Santone, he passed away on December 17, 2001. She is survived by her daughter, Rosemarie Thurber and her husband Si of Greenville. Nana is also survived by her three grandchildren, Missy Gladysz and her husband Greg, Craig Thurber and his wife Kristen and Jaime Parillo and her husband Matt, nine great-grandchildren, Braden Gladysz and his wife Brittany, Gage Gladysz, Bryleigh Gladysz, Keetin Thurber, Karis Thurber, Cael Thurber, Crue Parillo, Cami Parillo and Madi Parillo and a great-great grandchild, Brynn Louise Gladysz.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, three sisters, Amanda Huff, Virginia Spears and Betty Grayzar and three brothers, John “Sonny” Edgehouse, Raymond “Dink” Edgehouse and Ernest “Joe” Edgehouse. The family is very appreciative of the wonderful care she was provided by Maureen Jones, Dr. Christina Wong, St. Paul's stff and from her niece, Debby Gaona.

There will be no public services held. Burial will be in Shenango Valley Cemetery. Memorial contributions in her memory may be made to St. Paul's Senior Living Community, 339 E. Jamestown Rd., Greenville, PA 16125.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Loutzenhiser-Jordan Funeral Home and Creamtion Services, Inc., 366-368 S. Main St., Greenville.

    Oh Aunt Lou my dad Sonny loved when you came up the road from Aunt Bettys and said Oh I need a glass of PBR lol and dad always had one for you ! We Edgehouse kids loved when you and uncle Jim Rosemarie visited. And Si of course later on . My memories of growing up always included all Dads family❤️ I loved the way you lived life you always seemed so free ! And you always seemed to do exactly what you wanted . I definitely try to live my life with you in mind. Rest easy Aunt Lou and please tell everyone Hi ! We love you all

    Lou I am so sorry to hear you have passed. Evan though the softball games and the old club are gone, there will always be a seat for you and Jimmy. You were an amazing person and so much fun to listen to.

    I always looked forward to a visit with Louise when she was a patient at UPMC. She was quite the lady who had a zest for life. I loved listening to her stories. Sending comforting hugs and healing prayers to her family. She will truly be missed. So sorry Rose Marie and Si and family for your loss.
