Lynn D. Gruber, age 78, of E. Jamestown Rd., Greene Twp, Greenville passed away Tuesday morning, September 11, 2018 in his residence.
He was born in Port Matilda, PA on February 1, 1940 a son of Vallaise Sr. and Thelma (Williams) Gruber. He served his country in the United States Army for 21 years where he retired as a Sergeant First Class.
On December 22, 1962 Lynn Married the former Joanne Ray, she survives. He attended Greenville Alliance Church. Lynn was a Mason stationed in Berlin, Germany and was a member of Jamestown VFW #5424. He enjoyed fishing, farming, raising pheasants, and loved animals. He was employed as a supervisor for 18 years at the former R.D. Werner Co.
He is survived by his wife of Greenville, three daughters; Lynne Dillon and her husband Steven of Williamsfield, OH, Treasa Gruber of Greenville, and Tammy Hannah and her husband Rancie of Lexington, KY, a sister; Margaret Pasquino and her husband Joe of Hermitage, a brother; Randall Gruber and his wife Nancy of Atlantic, three grandchildren; Rebecca Dillon, Madsion Tipton, and Matthew Tipton.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Vallaise Gruber, Jr.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a Veteran's Organization of one's choice.

Sorry for your loss, Lynn was one of the truly good guys. I’m sure his legacy lives on through you all.

Hi to all of you and very sincere sympathy. I moved to Grove City a year ago and do not get any news from Greenville friends and family. I did not know if Lynn’s passing until yesterday. I’m so sorry for your loss and sorry I missed the viewing and funeral. I would liked to have renewed our friendship and talked over the
good times amongst all if us Grubers.
