Margaret K. “Peg” Moyer, age 78, of S. Main St. Greenville, passed away Sunday evening March 17, 2019 in VNA Inpatient Hospice, Butler.
She was born in Greenville on January 7, 1941 to Charles J. and Margaret F. (McMungille) O'Brien. Peg was a 1959 graduate of Greenville Senior High School and was employed for thirty years in the Environmental Services Department of UPMC Horizon Greenville. She attended St. Michael Roman Catholic Church, Greenville and had served as a volunteer at St. Paul's Continuing Care Community and UPMC Horizon Greenville.
Peg was a past member of Greenville Women Of The Moose #276. On February 12, 1990 she married Ronald A. Moyer, Sr., he passed away on November 25, 2009.
She is survived by two daughters; Kelly Travarca and her husband Tim of Yucca Valley, CA and Patty Hopkins and her companion Kenny Swift of Greenwood, DE, a son; Gregory T. Savchuk and his wife Julie Anne Meredith of Evansville, WI, a step-daughter; Lisa L. Moyer of St. Charles, IL, a step-son; Ronald A. Moyer, Jr. and his wife Lillian of Greenville, eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a daughter; Kimberly Savchuk, a grandson; Nicholas Travarca, a granddaughter; Karen Moyer, a sister; Theresa Hrabosky and two brothers; Richard O'Brien and Thomas O'Brien.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Good Shepherd Center, 10 N. Water St., Greenville, PA 16125.

So sorry for your loss, Peg was a beautiful person inside and out. I worked with her at UPMC Horizon Greenville for almost 10 years and I got to know at least a small part of her. She’s in a place of pure beauty where there’s no pain, sorrow, or suffering now and she’s seeing those that have gone on before her. May God in is infinite wisdom and grace give you the Peace that passes all understanding and may He hold you close at those times when you feel that you can’t stand on your own, trust Him and lean on Him as much as you need to because it’s times like this when you look back on your life and you will only see 1 set of Footprints in the Sand.

Peg was such a sweet person. Got to know her better through Hilda Pinney (née Peden) years ago when Kim was born. Always smiling. RIP Peg.
