
Mary H. McGonigal, age 94, of Greenville, passed away Saturday morning, November 12, 2016 in UPMC Horizon Greenville.Â
Mrs. McGonigal was born in Trenton, NJ on May 12, 1922 to Edwin J. and Florence L. (Palletta) Henry. She was a homemaker and a member of St. Michael Roman Catholic Church, Greenville. On December 27, 1953 she married Arthur H. McGonigal, Sr., he preceded her in death on June 7, 1995.Â
She is survived by her daughter, Maureen M. Taggart and her husband Jerry of Somerset, PA; three sons, Dr. Michael P. McGonigal and his wife Terry of Pittsburgh, John H. McGonigal and his wife Kristie of Greenville and Arthur H. McGonigal, Jr. and his wife Rosa of Great Falls, VA; twelve grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.Â
Mary was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
All services will be private and be held at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Michael Roman Catholic Church, 85 N. High St., Greenville, PA 16125 or St. Paul's 339 E. Jamestown Rd., Greenville, PA 16125.Â
Arrangements are under the direction of Loutzenhiser-Jordan Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 336-368 S. Main St., Greenville, PA.

Your mom provided one of the “safe havens” for us in our adolescense. I have fond memories of the times we spent in your home. She seemed to radiate a matronly nature that made one feel welcome. My condolences.
