My Uncle Merlon (Bud) was one who went about enjoying every day of life and living it with a satisfied mind. He was a sincere, kind, thoughtful and patient man who will be greatly missed by his family and those who knew him. He told me more than once, that he learned many years ago not to worry about what might happen, because most of the time it would not happen. I am very proud to have been named after him. As a child, I loved visiting his family and making an occasional Saturday trip to Williamson with him and my dad. As I grew up, I learned great respect for him and his ability to do what was needed and to be content with what could not be changed. Uncle Merlon was one to enjoy visiting and talking with and not one to complain regardless of how bad things might seem. Even when he was very ill, he would say I am doing good. I will miss him greatly. All his family and loved ones are in my prayers. May God bless and keep each of you.

My Pap! What else can I say it has taken some time to write this because my Pap was/is everything described above! He was the most peaceful man I have ever met! My Pap would do for others where most would walk away. My Pap was not one for many words he only said what was important. He did not waste his time on things he could not change and he never complained! My pap is was and will always be my hero and my example of a GOOD MAN! I Love you Pap and miss you so much!
