Marlene H. Shannon, age 82, of 8th Avenue, Hempfield Twp., passed away Monday morning, August 1, 2016 in UPMC Greenville.
Mrs. Shannon was born in Clintonville, PA on November 25, 1933 to Andrew and Margaret (Heath) Hale. She was a homemaker and babysat for the Olson family. She was a member of the First Church of God, Greenville, where she was treasurer of the women's group and also a Sunday school secretary.
She married Walter J. Shannon on June 5, 1955, he passed away September 10, 1972.
Surviving are two sons, Donald L. Shannon of Greenville and Daniel L. Shannon and his wife Sharon of Greenville, three sisters, Gloria Burke of Clintonville, Marjorie Snyder of Barkeyville, Jean McBride of Grove City, a brother, Clifford Hale of Mercer, two grandchildren, Sarah and David Shannon.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, five brothers and two sisters.
