Mary L. Burt, age 90, of Greenville, passed away Friday evening, October 28, 2016 in St. Paul's.
She was born in Deerfield, Ohio on August 21, 1926 to Irvin and Esther (Smith) Clark. She was employed in the Housekeeping Department of Thiel College for over 25 years and had also worked as a caregiver to individuals in the Greenville Area. Mary enjoyed knitting, traveling and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Mary is survived by two daughters, Kathy Miller and her husband David of Greenville and Karen Swartz of Fredonia and her companion Troy McCartney, two sons, Paul Burt and his wife Carol of Cochranton and Kenny Burt of Fredonia, three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Lawrence D. Young and a previous husband, William F. Burt, a brother, Irvin James Clark and three sisters, Betty Mowry, Eileen Walker and Evelyn Caudill.
A private Memorial Service will be held in the Chapel of Hadley Cemetery. There will be no public services. Arrangements are under the direction of Loutzenhiser-Jordan Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc. 366-368 S. Main St., Greenville, PA.
Kathy, I am sorry girl your loss. I am not sure if you are the same Kathy, but if you are, you sat next to me in home room with Mrs. Jennings in junior high. My deepest sympathies. Ruth DiDonato Maggs

To the family of Mary Burt. I am so sorry for your loss. I haven’t seen Mary in years but I was friends with Patty Tate and I dated Jimmy Clark. Through these 2 people I met Mary. She was a wonderful person and I know she will be missed. God Bless you all.
